Business Training on the CFS Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition

Join us, September 29, 2021 at 10-11:30 CEST – 15-16:30 ICT for an outreach event in collaboration with the CFS Secretariat: Business Training Session on the CFS Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition.

As the key policy guidance to address the key causes of malnutrition in all its forms, the PSM proposes outreach and education sessions to encourage VGFSyN uptake and integration within the Food Systems Summit process.   The first of these three sessions will be conducted for Asia, followed by Americas and Africa.

The Asia session on 29 September will benefit from the participation of the CFS Chair, Mr Thanawat Tiensin, CFS Secretariat and Ambassador Hoogeveen.  Interpretation from Thai-EN and EN-Thai will be provided for the Opening and Closing Plenary sessions.  The Opening Plenary of the training session aims to support private sector stakeholders to put the guidelines into action by providing a greater understanding of the main tenets of the Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition.  Through the group discussions in smaller breakout rooms, private sector actors will participate in a dialogue on the most relevant sections that will lead to the identification of the regional opportunities for uptake and challenges for its implementation.

The Closing Plenary will present the key takeaways from the subjects discussed in the breakout sessions and include closing remarks.
