Business Engagement at the UN’s High-Level Political Forum on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Visit the Bizfor2030’s blog for their most recent post recapping the sessions of the 2nd SDG Business Forum held on July 19, 2016 during the High Level Political Forum. Business for 2030 helped curate one of the day’s sessions, which featured a 17 person ‘rapid fire’ review of how 17 different representatives of the private sector were addressing each SDG. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the UN Global Compact were the lead organisers of the SDG Business Forum, which had over 400 participants in attendance throughout the day.
Beyond the rapid fire session, the post highlights the main take-aways from the other sessions, including how business can be more engaged in defining the policy reform agenda (Session 2), private sector participation in partnerships (Session 3), and how business can continue to help develop indicators (Session 4).
