11 years ago today, we opened our office in Nairobi - our first in Africa. Since then, we’ve been focused on our mission to make information accessible and useful to everyone and we’ve initiated programmes to connect people, equip young Kenyans with digital literacy skills, support local businesses to get the most out of the web, and to put Kenyan tourism on the global map. 

Today, we’re announcing more products and programs aimed at boosting the Kenyan economy.

The Private Sector Mechanism (PSM) is happy to announce the dates of its 2019 Annual General Meeting, which all PSM members are welcome to attend. The AGM will take place at the Capo d'Africa Hotel in Rome, Italy on June 25th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm CET. This date falls during the FAO Conference (June 22-29), an important biannual event during which elections will be held for the next Director General of FAO.

On 16 October 2018, the Private Sector Mechanism hosted its annual High Level Dinner during the 45th Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security. Attended by over 200 guests, of which about a third were Ambassadors and member state representatives, the theme of the Dinner was "Engaging, Recruiting, and Retaining Youth in Agriculture." CFS45 took place at FAO Headquarters in Rome from October 15-19, and the Private Sector Mechanism had its largest delegation to date, with 180 business leaders, including over 65 youth and representatives of youth organizations, registered from 40 countries.
