2025 Food Systems Summit Stocktaking Moment +4

Food Systems Summit Committee

The FSS Coordination Hub has announced that the 2nd Food Systems Summit Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+4)  is scheduled to be held July 28-30 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A draft concept note has been shared which identifies the objectives of the UNFSS+4 as:

  1. Documenting progress
  2. Strengthening accountability
  3. Unlocking investments 

Two documents will provide the main evidence and foundation for the meeting’s agenda, namely the UN Secretary-General’s Stocktaking Report and an analysis sharing the perspective of a variety of food systems Non-State Actors.

The process will emphasize multi-stakeholder partnerships, public-private collaborations, and increased private sector engagement to institutionalize sustainable food systems governance while ensuring inclusivity, particularly for women, youth, smallholder farmers, and Indigenous Peoples. The private sector is encouraged to stay engaged and contribute to this vital discussion on shaping accountable and transformative food systems.
