Urbanization, Rural Transformation and Implications for Food Security

FAO’s FSN Forum has just launched an open online discussion on Urbanization, Rural Transformation and Implications for Food Security.

This discussion, organized jointly with the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), invites you to join the elaboration of a background document (PDF) that the CFS Secretariat is preparing to support the discussions at theForum on Urbanization, Rural Transformation and Implications for Food Security to be held at CFS 43 in October 2016.

The Forum will be an opportunity to discuss how urbanization and the transformation of agriculture, food systems and rural spaces affect growth, poverty eradication, economic, environmental and social sustainability, and food security and nutrition.
