Open Call for Nomination – Farmer representatives at the UN Committee on World Food Security
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR FARMERS AND SMEs TO ATTEND THE UN COMMITTEE ON WORLD FOOD SECURITY
The Private Sector Mechanism to the UN Committee on World Food Security will be sponsoring the participation of several farmers and SMEs representatives in the annual meeting of the UN Committee on World Food Security that will take place October 9 to 13 at the FAO in Rome, Italy.
Criteria:
- Farmer representative or SME representative
- From a developing country (LDC or BRIC)
- Working in the agri-food supply chain
- Able to speak on behalf of your organization/sector
Additional experience:
- Experience in public speaking
- Experience in following public policy at the national, regional or global level
The grant will cover:
- Airfare to Rome, Italy
- Accommodation in Rome
- Per diem for the extent of your stay
- Travel insurance
- Visa cost
