Transforming Agrifood Systems: When Women Succeed, We’re All in Business

The pilot FAO-IAFN SME Accelerator Mentorship Program came to a close on 8 June at a virtual graduation ceremony. It was a moment to celebrate the accomplishments of the first cohort. We congratulate all the 45 mentees who completed the program. Many thanks to our mentors who did an outstanding job guiding and supporting these women throughout the six months of the program. We are glad to receive such overwhelming enthusiasm from both mentees and mentors who see the program as a game changer for women SMEs in Africa. We look forward to the start of the second cohort which will support another 50 women entrepreneurs to accelerate their businesses.
